Baltimore City government has stepped in to help, but an auction will still decide the fate of the historic Senator Theater.
UPDATE: After Baltimore City bought the mortgage and purchased the property, the theater was acquired by new owners, who undertook a year-long renovation, celebrated with a reopening in 2013.
