Started in 1990, the Upper Fells Point Community Garden was created from three vacant lots. Residents grow, maintain and enjoy vegetables, herbs and flowers, providing food for them and their neighbors, plus a habitat for birds, bats, bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. Not only does the garden beautify the neighborhood with its greenery, but it is a showcase for artwork by children, as well as a colorful mural that welcome visitors. The garden is also a special place for Upper Fells Point community-based activities, such as Halloween pumpkin carvings and other family events. The garden’s address is 1827 E. Pratt Street.
